Descripción: It is tough intellectual communion and co operation that knowledge and understanding are developed and transformed, and consequently the School fosters and active and interdisciplinary approach to research within the School of English. Staff and students are encouraged to participate in an intellectual community via seminars and study groups which not only bring people together within the School but also explicitly acknowledge and draw on other links with other disciplines including modern languages, history, drama, music and the social sciences. At the heart of this diversity of approaches and interests, is a broad common commitment to cultural history and an understnding of the material we study in the context of historical cultural development.
