The department does research ina wide range of areas, from the very large scale (electric power systems) to the very small (microelectronics), from mechanical systems (robotics) to human systems (biomedical), to the way information can be transmitted (communications); there is work on large-scale industrial production (systems and control) and very high frequency propagation (applied electromagnetics). Much of this activity involves collaboration with industrial partners, and many students have opportunities for industrial interaction during their graduate work. We also collaborate with academic and government labs in Canada and toughout the world. |
